Yesterday Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian stated about Armenia’s adherence to peaceful Karabakh issue settlement principles in his speech dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Armenia’s independence. “We are loyal to the peaceful settlement principals of Artsakh’s issue. As regards the ways of its settlement, I definitely say: Karabakh’s factual independence was not and can not be a wrangle objet”, stated the President. “We think that the pledge of long-lasting peace and stability in our complicated region is the regional cooperation. We are ready to establish relations with all the countries of the region. At the same time, the base for our regional policy is the relations with our traditional partners that stood the test of the time. Russia has a special place in these relations”, emphasized Robert Kocharyan.
“The world changes fast. The technological revolution has made the world stronger, more dynamic and more interrelated and also more vulnerable. The humanity has faced the evil of the international terror. The events in the US September 11 shocked the world with their cruelty. We grieve with America and think the evil must be punished. We are ready to cooperate within the framework of our possibilities. The terrorism is becoming an ideology in its shocking demonstrations. Armenia knows what its consequences feel like. We are sure that the world community needs joint coordinated efforts for the struggle against this evil”, stressed Armenia’s President.
