34.6% growth recorded in brandy production in Armenia in January-July 2010

5.7mln liters of brandy were produced in Armenia in January-July 2010 that is 34.6% higher as compared with the same period of last year. According to the National Statistical Service, 4.8mln liters of vodka were produced during the first seven months of 2010 that is 23.9% lower as compared with the same period of last year.

Besides, 2.3mln liters of wine were produced in January-July 2010 against 1.8mln liters in 2009 (22.3% growth was recorded).

Meanwhile, 9.6mln liters of beer were produced during the first seven months of 2010 that is 53.2% higher as compared with the same period of last year. Production of sparkling wines grew by 32.5%, amounting to 123.8thous. liters.

In addition, 0.5% drop was recorded in production of soft drinks in January-July 2010, totaling 19.7mln liters.
