BAKU BOYCOTTS SPECIAL CIS SERVICES COUNCIL SITTING IN ARMENIA “EXERCISING AGGRESSION AGAINST AZERBAIJAN”

Azerbaijan fundamentally refused from participating in the work of the sitting of the security bodies leaders and the CIS states special services held in Armenia. Official Baku explained its refusal by the fact that “the discussion of issues on struggle against terrorism in the capital of a country exercising aggression and state terror towards Azerbaijan, one of the CIS members conflicts with the CIS special services council heads’ principles and may be rated as approval of the aggression from the direction of Armenia”. In Azerbaijan’s opinion, as reported by “Arminfo” agency, measures on struggle against terrorism should be realized only on the basis of the International Right and the UN Security Council principles, number of resolutions of which demands the immediate withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azeri territory”. In Azerbaijan’s application to the members of the Yerevan sitting assurance is expressed that the majority of them will perceive Baku’s position with understanding. “Otherwise ignoring the existing reality will mean the continuation of pursuing the policy of “bias standards” thus impeding the process of overall cooperation in the struggle against terrorism” , – the application runs.
