Baku office of “Chevron” company spread information on the results of drilling of the first exploratory hole in Apsheron sea block. The message says that the well, boring of which began on December 23, 2000, was liquidated on June 18. It came out that some hydrocarbon was discovered in the lower layers, but its quantity was unattractive from commercial point of view. The depth of the well is 6.500 meters and it was drilled from 520 meters of sea depth.
