ANOTHER TWO DEPUTIES OF THE PARLIAMENT DECLARED WITHDRAWAL FROM PEOPLE’S PARTY

Another two deputies of the National Assembly declared their withdrawal from the People’s Party. Ashot Galoyan and Misak Mkrtchian followed the example of their eight former colleagues on the fraction – Hmayak Hovhannisyan, Vladimir Badalian, Armen Khachatrian, Robert Yengoyan, Manvel Badeyan, Gagik Voskanian, Vanya Hovhannesian and Samson Sargsian. Thus only eight members of People’s Party remained in “Unity” fraction. The prominent figures of the Party, who were among its founders, have left it. Commenting the situation in PPA, President Robert Kocharian emphasized that the observed processes are quite predictable result of the “smeared” policy of the leadership of the Party. “The Party is not a thing to be inherited,” – the head of the country stated.
