The first session of the newly elected Armenian National Assembly is evidently to take place June 12. Armenian Central Election Commission chairman Artak Sagradian told “Arka” agency. In his words, the corresponding resolution will be taken in the near future by the Armenian CEC. Handing of mandates to the deputies will occur in the Governmental Reception House June 10-11. Due to the 68-th item of the Armenian Constitution, the first session of the newly elected National Assembly is summoned on the second Tuesday after the election. No less than two third of the total number of the deputies should be present at the session. Before the election of the Armenian NA chairman, the sittings are conducted by the deputy of the oldest age. It should be noted that according to the proportional system the Republican Party of Armenia (23 deputies), “Justice” opposition bloc (14 deputies), “Orinats Yerkir” (12 deputies), “Dashnaktsutyun” Armenian Revolutionary Federation (11 deputies), “National Unity” party (9 deputies), United Labor Party (6 deputies) will be presented in the Parliament. According to the majority system 53 out of 56 deputies elected to the Parliament are registered. Election in 3 constituencies of Armenia, precisely 12-th, 29-th and 41 are declared null and void and a by-election will be held there June 14-15.
