The perspectives of the Karabakh conflict settlement will be discussed both within the frameworks of “Big Eight” summit conference in Genuya, and within the frameworks of the informal summit of the CIS countries 1-3 August, in Sochy. President of Azerbaijan Heidar Aliev stated that on Thursday, while receiving Russian ambassador Nikolay Ryabov. As CNA agency informs, at the meeting with the Azerbaijani President, Nikolay Ryabov informed him that president of Russia Vladimir Putin would individually inform his Azerbaijani colleague about the results of the Genuya summit and particularly about the meetings with the USA and France leadership for Karabakh problem. According to the Russian diplomat, Aliev intends to meet Putin and Kotcharyan in Sochy. The informal summit of CIS in Sochy will be dedicated to the CIS development and also to the questions of national defense. It should be reminded that Russia, USA and France have been the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk group for Nagorno Karabakh since 1997. According to the initiative of the heads of those countries, the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan conduct direct peace negotiations on the Karabakh conflict settlement.
