THE COUNCIL OF RUSSIA FEDERATION HAS RATIFIED THE AGREEMENT ON THE STATUS OF FORMING OF FORCES AND THE MEANS OF THE SYSTEM OF THE COLLECTIVE DEFENSE

The council of Russia Federation has ratified today the agreement on the status of forming of forces and the means of collective defense system, that was ratified by the National Assembly of Armenia on 4, April of this year. The agreement was signed in Bishkek on 11 October 2000 by the heads of the countries-participants of the Agreement on collective defense. Its participants are Armenia, Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Tadjikistan and Kirghizia. The document, ratified by the Council of Federation, stipulates legal position of the military formations of the countries-participants of the Agreement on collective defense singled out to form a part of the groups with the aim to repel external military aggression.
