During the October 7 sitting, the Armenian government approved a program on creation of an Armenian oncology center.
Deputy Minister of Economy Mushegh Tumasyan said that the program consists of three components: radioisotopes production, tomography and oncology center, with the Armenian Ministry of Education to secure training of relevant personnel.
Besides, the government approved the project on signing a 4.5mln euro loan agreement with Belgian KBCNV bank for a cyclotron purchase.
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that under the approved agreement, the government will provide state guarantees to the Belgian government for the cyclotron purchase, what will mark launch of the program on establishment of the oncology center in Armenia.
