The official circles in Azerbaijan behave with understanding toward the mutual statement of the Minsk group cochairmen, made after regular tour to the capitals of the countries, that are Karabakh conflict sides. That has been stated by “CNA” agency, with the reference to Novruz Mamedov, the head of the department of foreign affaires of the Azerbaijan president administration. According to Mamedov, the statement of the cochairmen, with the appeal to the sides to compromise, is not regarded as an attempt to make Baku make concessions. At the same time, as the president administration representative has pointed out, the OSCE Minsk group opinion regarding some questions can not coincide with the Azerbaijani side position. Mamedov thinks the negotiations on Karabakh settlement will be continued. It is assumed that the nearest date of the meeting of the Azerbaijan and Armenia presidents could be 1 or 2, August. These days in Sochi the unofficial meeting of the heads of the CIS countries will take place. According to the information, that has not been confirmed officially yet, at the Sochi summit will be discussed perspectives of the peaceful settlement of the regional conflicts in Prednistrovye, Karabakh and Abkhzia.
