THE HEAD OF THE AZERBAIJANI MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS CONFIRMS THAT THE OCSE MINSK GROUP COCHAIRMEN HAVE NOT OFFERED NEW INITIATIVES

Azerbaijan stipulates the conducting in Geneva of the next stage of the negotiations of Armenia and Azerbaijan President by the solution of some questions. Vilayat Guliev, the minister of foreign affairs of Aserbaijan, has stated that after the meeting with the OCSE Minsk group cochairmen. The minister claims that the meeting organization has been hindered for more than two months because of “the non-constructive position of official Yerevan”, which, according to his words, ” has not demonstrated the readiness for the mutual compromises”. The minister explained the cochairmen choice of Yerevan as the first point in their visit to region by that Armenia, according to his claim, is at the moment ” the main hindrance at the peaceful negotiations”.
At the same time Guliev has stated the Azerbaijani side is not aware of any new initiatives of the Minsk group cochairmen. This minister statement is the next confirmation that “Paris principles” that Azerbaijan refuses, in essence torpedoing the negotiations, remain the discussion point of the peacemakers.
