Leader of the nationalist movement of the Turk languages speaking residents of Iran’s northern provinces Mahmudali Chahragani in a telephone interview to the correspondent of “Turan” Baku information agency stated that the intention of President of Armenia to visit Tabriz had caused dissatisfaction among the locals. He said that people in Southern Azerbaijan (the local separatists call the northern provinces of Iran this way) are aware of “the mass murder of Azerbaijanians by the Armenians and are resolute to take revenge”. “We have not forgotten how dashnaks, whose line Kocharian continues, have committed genocide of millions of Turks in East Azerbaijan, Urmia, Salmast. The mass assassinations of Azeris in Khodjalu and other regions of Nagorny Karabakh are still fresh in our memory,” – the leader of Turk separatists stated.
