FORMER HEAD OF NOVONAKHICHEVAN DIOCESE OF ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH APPEALED TO ANTELIAS CATHOLICOS FOR SUPPORT – UNVERIFIED INFORMATION

. An anonymous source distributed to a number of mass media editorial staffs an announcement that former head of the Novonakhichevan and Russian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Tiran Kyureghian had suggested Antelias Catholicos Aram the First on the basis of parishes “loyal to himself” to create a new Diocese, subordinated to Antelias Catholicosat. The source preferring to hide behind an anonymous e-mail address contends that the Patriarch had not responded the suggestion. It is reported that “the emissaries” of Tiran Kyureghian continue to seek contacts with Antelias Catholicos with the purpose of finding favour towards the “rebellious” Archbishop.
