Compulsory vehicle liability insurance policies were put on sale on October 18, 2010.
Ingo-Armenia has already signed 148 contracts since the morning, the company’s executive director Levon Altunyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
According to him, Ingo-Armenia has created the essential agent network to serve all vehicles registered in the republic.
The law on compulsory insurance for vehicle owners which was passed by the Armenian government in May 2010 will take effect on January 1, 2011.
The minimum cost of insurance policy for personal cars varies from AMD 25,000 to AMD 46,000, while maximum – from AMD 42,000 to AMD 77,000. As for taxis, the minimum policy cost is from AMD 37,000 to 66,000, while maximum – from AMD 61,000 to 110,000. The minimum cost of the policy for company-owned vehicles varies from AMD 26,000 to AMD 48,000, while its maximum cost – from AMD 44,000 to AMD 79,000.
