$1 BILLION IS NECESSARY FOR THE ENERGETIC SECURITY OF ARMENIA

. Karen Galustyan, the minister of power system, has stated that Armenia will be ready to examine the question of the nuclear power station closing only if the international community helps to provide Armenia with alternative sources of energy. According to his words, $ 800 million offered by the European Union for the nuclear power plant closing will hardly allow to form such sources. Galustyan has pointed out, that for providing energetic security of Armenia at least $ 1 billion is necessary. The minister has stated that the sum has to be formed with the help of the international organizations-donors. He has explained that to come to this end within the frameworks of the TACIS program a fund given the first $ 100 millions from European Union, has been already founded.
