PORTUGUESE FOREIGN MINISTER WILL VISIT YEREVAN

. Foreign Minister of Portugal Jaime Gama will arrive in Yerevan on a state visit in the second part of June. According to information provided by CNA agency, the visit is planned within the framework of preparation of Portugal’s presidency in the OSCE in 2002. It is expected that during the negotiations with President Robert Kocharian the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal will discuss the prospects of the Karabakh conflict settlement and a number of items concerning bilateral cooperation. The visit of the Portuguese Minister to Yerevan will become a part of his tour to CIS countries. Out of the Southern Caucasian countries Gama will also visit Azerbaijan.
