The “Gazprom” direction has refused its intention to participate in consortium on building the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline. “Mediamax” agency informs that President of the concern Rem Vyakhirev made this statement during a press conference in Moscow. According to his words, the Black Sea and East European directions are more important for “Gazprom” at present. He also noted that currently “Gazprom” is actively developing partnership with Turkey, together with which it performs works to realize “The Blue Stream” project.
A few days earlier Iranian radio informed that “Gazprom” would probably participate in the construction of the Iran-Armenia pipeline. In the beginning of the week the representatives of “Gazprom” participated in the conference of the members of the consortium engaged in preparing the project of laying the gas pipeline.
