ARMENIAN LEADER TO LEAVE FOR SAINT PETERSBURG TOMORROW TO PARTICIPATE IN FESTIVITIES ON CITY 300-TH ANNIVERSARY

May 30 an Armenian delegation headed by president Robert Kocharian will leave for Saint Petersburg on a three-day visit to participate in festivities devoted to the 300-th anniversary of the “north capital” of Russia. In the course of the visit bilateral negotiations of the Armenian leader with Georgian president Eduard Shevardnadze and Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko are planned. May 30 a meeting of the CIS leaders will take place on board “Silver Whisper” ship, which is to become the residence of the heads of the states invited for the celebrations. June 1 the Armenian delegation headed by R. Kocharian will visit St. Catherine church, where he will participate in a ceremony of opening of an Armenian monument-khachkar, will visit exhibition of Armenian artist Z. Mirzoyan. The Armenian president will also meet with representatives of the Armenian Diaspora of Saint Petersburg.
