THE VICE-SPEAKER OF KNESSET HAS DECLARED THAT ISRAEL DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

. Vice-Speaker of the Israeli Parliament Michael Nuverman, who is in Baku at present, stated in an interview to MPA Azerbaijanian agency that the Israeli legislators will not discuss the subject of passing a resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide. According to Nuverman’s words, the deputies of Knesset will not take this step, as it would harm the friendly relationships between Tel-Aviv and Baku. The Vice-Speaker of Knesset, who at the same time heads “Israel-Azerbaijan” parliamentary group, emphasized that Israel, unlike Armenia, while fighting for world-wide recognition of holocaust had not rushed resolutions on genocide in the Parliaments of other states. He stated that the relationships between the neighbor countries should have been built on the principles of good neighborhood, not on resolutions claiming to recognize genocide.
