Plastic cards were issued and serviced by Armenia’s 20 banks as of the end of the third quarter of 2010, while 19 banks out of them are members of a single payment system – ArCa.
24 automatic teller machines (ATMs) were set during the reporting period, bringing their total number to 778, including 719 ATMs servicing ArCa cards, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia reported.
Besides, the number of POS terminals set by Armenia’s banks totaled 3,195 as of the end of the third quarter of 2010, including 450 POS terminals set in banks’ branches.
The total number of set imprinters amounted to 25.
