Russia specified Armenia for exclusive cooperation in several fields

Economic relations between Armenia and Russia are stable, based on firm political dialogue and friendly relations, vice president of the Russians Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.

Addressing the Armenian-Russian business forum in Yerevan, Georgy Petrov said 2009 was a tough year for Russia.

“We secured 4% economic growth but it’s a recovery process, for most part. Russia will hardly regain pre-crisis development rate before 2012,” he said.

The use of industrial potential of Russia’s regions can help revive the economy, according to Petrov.

He emphasized that Russia has specified Armenia for exclusive cooperation in nuclear technologies, IT, pharmaceutics and agriculture.

Russia also pins hope on formation of Customs Union, what will allow to expand cooperation with CIS countries.
