RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT EXPECTED TO RATIFY AGREEMENT ON CONVEYING ARMENIAN ENTERPRISES TO RUSSIA ON ACCOUNT OF STATE DEBT

May 28 the Council of Federation of Russia is expected to ratify the intergovernmental Armenian-Russian agreement on conveying the property of a number of Armenian enterprises on account of paying off the state debt of Armenia to Russia. As Russian ambassador to Armenia Anatoly Dryukov told “Arminfo” agency, one can expect the ratified agreement to be already signed in early June, and then the five Armenian enterprises will be passed to Russia before the end of July. It should be reminded that shares of five Armenian enterprises: CJSC “Mars,” Yerevan research institute of mathematical machines, Yerevan research institute of automated management systems, institute of the science of materials and the Hrazdan thermoelectric power station will be conveyed on account of the state debt of $100 million. The corresponding agreement was signed in July 2002.
