53.3thous. carats of diamond were cut in January-October 2010 in Armenia against 39.1thous. carats of diamond during the same period in 2009 (36.1% growth).
Besides, 342.9kg of jewelries were produced in the country during the reporting period, the RA National Statistical Service reported. 43.6% or 264.6kg drop was recorded in the production compared to January-October 2009.
