The US Defense Minister discussed the question of relations between Ankara and Yerevan with the Prime Minister of Turkey

. During his visit to Ankara the US Defense Minister Ronald Ramsfeld had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Turkey Bulent Edgevit at which, besides other problems, he also discussed the question of relations between Turkey and Armenia. Referring to the publications in Turkish press “Noyan-Tapan” agency informs that, if before the official Ankara made renewal of contacts with Armenia conditional upon withdrawal of Armenian troops from the safety zone around Karabakh, now a new condition is added to that – securing a corridor connecting Nakhichevan with Azerbaijan.
