YEREVAN, May 22. /Mediamax/. Election of Armenia as a member of Human Rights Commission of the UN Economic and Social Council testifies that the world community recognizes the progress Armenia has achieved in establishment of democratic society and human rights protection system.
As Mediamax was informed today in the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, this is said in the letter of the UN Res.Coordinator in Armenia Katica Cekalovich, addressed to the Armenian FM.
“Becoming member of the Commission, Armenia has strengthened its position and increased its authority in the world family of nations. I welcome the significant progress of Armenia at the international arena and hope that in nearest future we shall become witnesses of positive changes inside the country as well,” the letter says. –0–
