The total amount of credit investments of Armenia’s banks totaled AMD 912.1bln as of the end of November 2010, increasing by 3.2% (AMD 28.1bln) compared to October 2010.
AMD 864.8bln was provided to the country’s residents; AMD 47.2bln was extended to non-residents, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia.
AMD loans totaled 42.4%, while foreign currency loans amounted to 57.6%.
Major part of the provided loans to residents was in the field of industry – AMD 190.4bln, followed by trade – AMD 182.8bln, consumer loans – AMD 154.7bln, mortgage loans – AMD 86.2bln and construction loans – AMD 70.8bln. Besides, the amount of agricultural loans totaled AMD 48.6bln as of the end of November 2010, while lending of the service field amounted to AMD 38.6bln and transport and communication field – AMD 25.6bln.
