ARMENIAN ARTISTS EXHIBITION OPENED IN ONE OF CITY PICTURE GALLERIES WITHIN FRAMEWORK SAINT PETERSBURG 300 BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Within the framework of Saint Petersburg 300-th birthday celebrations an exhibition of modern Armenian artists’ works has been opened in “Rosvuzdesign” picture gallery. The works of three Armenian painters, namely Albert Avetisian, Zhanna Simonian and Arsen, being the typical representatives of the Armenian creative school are presented in the gallery. This exhibition became as if an announcement of the coming setting up of Albert Avetisian’s “Madam Butterfly” sculptural composition in the Modern Sculpture Gardens, situated in the yard of the philological department of the Saint Petersburg State University.
