CIS DEFENSE MINISTERS TO ASSEMBLE IN ASTANA EARLY JUNE

The regularly scheduled sitting of defense ministers of the CIS countries will take place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan May 9. As reported by the Russian sources, the agenda of the sitting presided by the head of defense department Sergey Ivanov, consists of more than 30 questions concerning the further integration in defense sphere. The members of the sitting will particularly discuss the program of joint arrangements on operative military training of the CIS armed forces for the current year, the issues of consolidation of the united system of the air-raid defense and the military-technical cooperation.
