VivaCell-MTS, Hayastan All Armenian Fund, Synopsis Armenia sign memo

VivaCell-MTS, Hayastan All Armenian Fund and Synopsis Armenia signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding on to the 2011 “Annual Award of the President of Republic of Armenia For Outstanding Contribution to Global IT”, initiated by Synopsis Armenia.

A statement on the memorandum reads: “Taking into account the effective and successful cooperation between organizers and the financing party over the previous years, the Parties are guided by mutual understanding, partnership and as well as high sense of the importance of this undertaking.”

“I am sure that this Award will promote the reputation of Armenia worldwide as a country that declared IT sphere as a priority. This project completely fits into the corporate responsibility strategy that our company adopted for Armenia,” director of Synopsys Armenia Hovik Musayelyan said.

“Prizes of this kind not only bring Armenia’s rating up in IT sphere but also offer a strong incentive for our IT specialists,” Executive Director of the Hayastan Fund Ara Vardanyan added.

“In today’s world, nations compete not through wars but through technologies and economic strength. IT is found to be one of the key factors to our country’s future growth and therefore it is our duty to support important national projects encouraging further development of this sphere,” commented Ralph Yirikian, General Manager of VivaCell-MTS, which allocated AMD 22 million for the purpose.

According to Ara Vardanyan, 5 candidates from worldwide and prominent IT companies have been already selected, VivaCell-MTS press office reported.
