RUSSIAN, GEORGIAN AND ARMENIAN LEADERS TO DISCUSS ABKHAZIAN RAILWAY FUNCTIONING ISSUE IN SAINT PETERSBURG

Armenian, Georgian and Russian presidents will discuss the issue of recommencement of the railway communication through Abkhazian territory in the course of the coming meeting planned May 30. Co-chairman of the Armenian-Russian committee on economic cooperation, Russian minister of industry, science and technologies Ilya Klebanov stated today in Yerevan. In his words, this is an issue of “paramount strategic importance” for Armenia and Russia. In his turn, co-chairman of Armenian party, Serge Sargsian announced that “the latest developments give hope to settle the issue of the railway communication recommencement between Armenia and Russia.”
