YEREVAN, April 9. /Mediamax/. The officials of the National Iranian Oil Company have unequivocally denied the sale of any oil products to Armenia, Iran Network informs today.
Following claims by some of the newspapers in the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the export of the low grade Iranian petrol to Armenia, deputy head of the National Iranian Oil Company denied these reports. An official of the National Oil Products Refinement and Distribution Company said: Since Armenia imposes no restriction on imports of products, some dealers purchase oil and petrol in the Republic of Azerbaijan and transport them to Armenia through the Iranian border.
The Minister for State Income of Armenia Andranik Manukian said at April 6 press-conference in Yerevan that the import of waste products of oil refinement industry from Iran to Armenia is prohibited. –0–
