ENERGY INTERESTS OF USA IN REGION ARE NOT OF TOP IMPORTANCE

YEREVAN, April 2. /Mediamax/. The U.S. Senior State Department Official said that the USA had many interests in the region of the Karabakh conflict.
At the same time, he said at a special briefing in Washington that the energy interests were not the most important there. “I think primarily our interests and concerns are focused on military, political, humanitarian dimensions,” he said.
“No one can be comfortable at the prospect of fighting erupting in a region that brings Iran, Russia and Turkey together; where Russia is clearly allied with one of the parties and Turkey is clearly allied with another; where a sizable portion of Azerbaijanis live both in Azerbaijan and Iran,” the State Department Senior Representative said. –0–
