Armenia’s Levon Aronian beat 2-0 Vugar Gashimov of Azerbaijan in round 5 of the 20th Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Tournament.
The Armenian grandmaster dominates the tournament with 8 points, followed by Viswanathan Anand of India (6.5 points) and Magnus Carlsen (6 points).
In the 6th round, Aronian will face Alexander Grishuk of Russia, his rival in the forthcoming Candidates Tournament.
