During the March 18 governmental sitting, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that Armenia discussed with the EU a legislative initiative on introduction of single system for stock accounting through barcodes.
According to Sargsyan, the bill on holographs will be withdrawn from the Armenian parliament, while Armenia will start solving the matter of introduction of the single system for stock accounting through barcodes with partners from the EU.
The Armenian Prime Minister said that all goods are currently registered in Europe via this single system. “We will receive a technical assistance from our European partners with respect to it. In my opinion, the technical assistance may considerably improve our legislative opportunities,” said Sargsyan.
In 2010, the Armenian National Assembly adopted in the first reading the bill on compulsory marking of magnetic media by control marks (holographs) that, according to specialists, hampers implementation of copyrights and other rights.
