YEREVAN, March 28. /Mediamax/. During his recent visit to Chicago the U.S. President George Bush made statements reaffirming his campaign pledge to “ensure that our nation properly recognizes the tragic suffering of the Armenian people,” Mediamax was informed in the Armenian National Committee (ANC) of Illinois.
Answering the ANC representatives about his position on his campaign pledge, Bush said: “The Armenians are great people. You know I made a promise to you before I was elected.”
The ANC representative Rita Sarafian said in this regard that “the American Armenians expect that the President clearly and non-ambiguously classifies the events of 1915 as genocide.”–0–
