USA WELCOMES EFFORTS FOR ESTABLISHING CLOSER TIES BETWEEN ARMENIANS AND TURKS

YEREVAN, March 28. /Mediamax/. U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Robert Pearson
said that governmental and private institutions in Turkey have begun efforts to establish a factual historical record “that answers both Armenian and Turkish questions about the turbulent years of 1915-1919 in an atmosphere of complete transparency and objectivity.”
Speaking at Armenian-Turkish conference in Washington, Pearson said that the USA supports “these and other efforts for establishing closer ties between Armenians and Turks.”–0–
