Zdob si Zdub group, which will represent Moldova at 2011 Eurovision song contest, said it does not think of victory.
“Even if we do not win, we will consider ourselves to be winners, as we represent our country beyond standards. Europeans will conceive our song. Actually, it is difficult to make forecasts for Eurovision, we prefer to get prepared for it rather than to analyze,” member of the group Roman Iagupov told a press conference in Yerevan.
According to Iagupov, Armenia has chances to celebrate a victory at Eurovision: “Though Armenian singers do not use national themes, but Armenian appearance, eyes and energy are unique. We will be among Armenia’s fans and vote for it.”
Members of Zdob si Zdub Roman Iagupov and Sveatoslav Starus are admired by Armenian music and cuisine: “Armenians welcomed us heartily. We respect and love Armenians. We attended a concert of Djivan Gasparyan in Moldova. We are fans of Aram Khachaturian and like System of а Down rock band.”
