Armenian sportsmen got off to a good start at Russia-hosted Disability Swimming Championship.
The swimmers, representing the Armenian Federation of Disability Sport won 4 medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze) competing in 50 m freestyle and 100 m breaststroke disciplines. Margarita Hovakimyan, Avag Tonoyan and Artak Davtyan represented Armenia at the championship.
On April 7, Armenian sportsmen are competing in 50 m backstroke and 400 m breaststroke discipline. The winners will qualify for participation in European Championship due June 3-10 in Berlin, Federation of Disability Sport told PanARMENIAN.Net.
