INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION RATE GROWTH FIXED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, March 2. /Mediamax/. The growth of industrial production in Armenia in January 2001, compared with Jan. 2000, made 16.5 per cent, Prime-News agency reported quoting the CIS Inter-state statistics committee.
The highest growth of industrial production among CIS countries in Jan. 2001, compared with Jan. 2000, is fixed in Kirghizia where it made 45.1%. The production growth in Ukraine made up 19.5%, in Moldavia – 18.7, in Tajikistan – 14.4, in Kazakhstan – 11.6, in Azerbaijan – 5.4, in Russia – 5.3, in Belarus – 3.7. Production decrease of 10.6% is registered in Georgia. The CIS Inter-state statistics committee has no information about the situation in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. –0–
