YEREVAN, February 28. /Mediamax/. Preferential tariffs for good transportation to Armenia caused serious problems to “Georgian railway” company, Prime News reports.
According to the company’s data, privileges given to the Armenian railway made up about 3.5 million US dollars in 2000. Preferential tariffs were introduced in order to increase goods flow to Armenia.
Preferential tariffs for goods transportation to Armenia remain valid up to July 1, 2001. Afterwards, unless goods turnover is increased, the tariffs will be reconsidered. –0–
