ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER AND NATO HEAD DISCUSSED PROSPECTS OF ARMENIA-NATO RELATIONS DEVELOPMENT

The current state of affairs of the Armenia-NATO relations, as well as prospects of their development was discussed by Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian and NATO secretary general George Robertson in Yerevan. The parties specifically considered the course of arrangement of “Cooperative Best Effort – 2003” multinational military exercises to be held in Armenia in June within the framework of “Partnership for Peace” NATO program. The interlocutors also exchanged views on a number of regional problems, including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.
