OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS AWAIT AZERI PARTY INVITATION TO VISIT REGION

The OSCE Minsk group co-chairs await an invitation by the Azeri party to pay a recurrent visit to the region of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Chief of the Department of Continental European Countries of the French foreign ministry, former Minsk group co-chair Hyug Perne reported when speaking of the OSCE mediators’ visit to the region, which had been planned May 18-22. “The visit will take place in the near future, but its realization now depends on Azerbaijan,” – he said. As reported by Baku sources, the visit of the Minsk group co-chairs to the region is postponed, as Azeri president Heydar Aliyev is not able to accept the time suggested by the mediators.
