THE FRENCH PRESIDENT SIGNS THE ARMENIAN BILL

30.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. French President Jacques Chirac signed today the bill recognizing the Genocide of Armenians of 1915 in the Ottoman Empire, Public TV of Armenia reported, quoting Armenian Ambassador to France Edward Nalbandian.
The National Assembly of France unanimously adopted the bill on January 18, 2001. On November 8, 2000 the Armenian Resolution was approved by the Upper House of the French Parliament – the Senate. -0-
