CONGRESSIONAL CAUCUS OF USA ON ARMENIAN ISSUES SPEAKS FOR CONTINUING ASSISTANCE TO ARMENIA

26.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Armenian Assembly of America welcomed reports this week that 85 Congressmen have already agreed to serve as members of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues during the 107th Congress.
Almost 90 per cent of the Members who served on the Caucus during the last congressional session were re-elected during the 2000 meeting cycle.
“Many challenges lie ahead for the Members of the Caucus during the 107th session, particularly strengthening support for the Nagorno Karabakh peace process and continuing US assistance as Armenia struggles to advance its political and economic development”, the Assembly’s Director of Government Relations Bryan Ardouny said. “We look forward to working with Caucus Members on these important issues”. -0-
