On May 20, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with the IBO bantamweight champion Vic Darchinyan.
The President congratulated the boxer on his April 24 victory over Yonni Perez in L.A.-hosted clash, wishing him new achievements.
“A victory on Genocide Commemoration Day was symbolic to me. I'm happy I won,” the boxer said, in turn.
