22.01.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The meeting of the Iranian-Armenian intergovernmental commission will start in Yerevan tomorrow.
Wide range of questions on bilateral cooperation will be discussed at the meeting, which will be held in Yerevan on January 23-24, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia.
In particular, questions concerning Iran-Armenia gas pipeline construction, joint Hydropower plant at Araks River, oil-gas pipeline in Meghri, the construction of Meghri-Kajaran tunnel , the reconstruction of frontier trade market in Meghri, the establishment of transport terminal for the Iranian lorries near Yerevan will be discussed during the meeting.
Armenian Energy Minister Karen Galustian and Iranian Minister of Finance and Economy Hussein Namazi are heading the commission.
The Iranian delegation will have meetings with the Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian and the Energy Minister Karen Galustian on January 23.
Armenian President Robert Kocharian and the Foreign Minister of Armenia will receive the Iranian representatives on January 24. –0–
