ARMENIAN-GEORGIAN RELATIONS A STABILITY FACTOR IN THE REGION

26.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian said today at a press conference in Yerevan that Armenian-Georgian relations are “an important factor, providing stability in the Southern Caucasian region”.
Friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia are one of the factors pledging that “we’ll manage to avoid new separating lines in the Southern Caucasus,” Oskanian said.
The Minister noted that the project of providing some southern Georgian regions with Armenian electricity can be a model of mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
