30.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Following the negotiations, which were held on November 29 in Ashkhabad within Armenian president Robert Kocharian’s visit to Turkmenistan, a joint memorandum on restructuring Armenia’s remaining debt for the Turkmen natural gas supply in 1994-1995 was signed.
As a source in the presidential staff informed Mediamax, Armenia and Turkmenistan also signed an agreement on judicial assistance and legal relations on civic, family and criminal cases.
Robert Kocharian and Saparmurad Niyazov discussed the situation in Central Asia and in the Caucasus. An agreement to establish an inter-parliamentary Turkmen-Armenian commission for economic issues in near future was also achieved. -0-
