In the 8-th round of World Team Chess Championship, Armenia who is the leader in the Championship presently yields to Azerbaijan to the score 2:1. On the fourth board of Armenia –Azerbaijan match Gabriel Sargsyan has lost to Shakhriyar Mamedyarov.
Earlier Levon Aronyan and Sergey Movsisyan ended matches in a draw.
Vladimir Hakopyan, who is still playing his match with white pieces against Rauf Mamedov is the only hope for Armenia to avoid defeat.
