Elina Danielian scores 1st win at FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 3rd round

Armenian grandmaster Elina Danielian scored her first win in new series of FIDE Women's Grand Prix.

In the 3rd round of Russia-hosted championship, Danielian beat Russia’s Ekaterina Kovalevskaya to gain 1 point.

After a tie, a loss and a win in 1st to 3rd rounds, the grandmaster is 7th with 1,5 points. China’s Hou Yifan is leading the tournament with 3 points, followed by Slovenia's Anna Muzychuk and Russia's Nadezhda Kosintseva with 2 points each.

Danielyan will face Tatiana Kosintseva (Russia) in the 4th round of the championship.
